Today I was stopped at a crosswalk and a very elderly woman with a walker was standing at the light. When the light turned green, she hesitated and turned to the man standing next to her and said something to him. He walked with her very slowly across the street. After we all crossed the street, I watched him take off in a different direction from the woman. Apparently they didn't know each other and he had taken the time to help her cross the street. I chased him down and handed him a token and thanked him for helping her cross the street. He looked very puzzled, then read the token and smiled.

I was walking down the street and stopped at a light. When I started to walk again, a car near me honked. I looked over and saw a guy I didn't know driving and assumed he was just harassing me. One block later, a car drove up near me and stopped. A guy got out and yelled out "Excuse me!". I almost kept walking, again, assuming harassment, until I turned around and saw that he was holding my favorite scarf, which I must have dropped at the crosswalk. He clearly had gone out of his way to stop his car, get out, get my scarf and chase me down. I felt badly for assuming the worst about his intentions and was so pleased that a) I was wrong and b) that I had a token to give him.
My son recently saw a fire truck with 4 fire fighters. He gave tokens to each of the firefighters for keeping us all safe. Two of the firefighters immediately put their token in the band of their helmets and said they'd carry them with them for good luck.
