Tikkun Tokens helped remind me to look for ways to do an act of kindness myself. I was in a store and in a bleh mood. I reached in my bag to get something and found a TT in there and thought "oh yeah, I'll keep a look out for someone to give this to." A few minutes later an elderly woman near me was asking the clerk to help her find something; he didn't know the item she was looking for and was unable to help. Having that TT in my mind reminded me that wait, I don't have to wait to find someone to give a TT to, *I* could help. I'm really not trying to sound self-serving (I had to click on Gave or Received above even though it is not applicable in this instance), just the opposite; I don't know that I would have paid much attention or done anything in that moment if I hadn't had giving a TT in mind. I knew what the woman was looking for and went on a hunt to find it. That token in my bag was a nice way to get me out of my head and into a tiny action of service. Grateful.
